muscles, brain and our heart. Different people need different amounts of energy
this comes down to different factors such as their age, their gender and how
much activity they do.  Our body uses the
food that we eat for energy, although if we eat food with more energy than what
we require it will be stored as extra fat on your body and therefore this will
make you gain weight and if you eat food with less energy then you will lose
weight so eating the right amount of food would make your weight stay the same.
The food that we eat for energy is released in a process called respiration.
The food is decayed into something called glucose when the blood cells
transport it to numerous parts of our body and then it reacts with oxygen in a
series of steps to produce carbon dioxide (CO2, Water (h20) and also energy.


The digestive system’s function is to break
down the food that we eat and make it into smaller parts so the body is able to
use them to feed and build cells as well as use the food for energy. Within the
digestive system there is a long tube that has something inside of it called
the mucosa, inside of a person’s mouth, small intestine and stomach the mucosa
has really small glands that make juices which helps the food to digest inside

The small intestine is where most of the
digested molecules of food are absorbed in the body. The cells in our body
allow the absorbed food and liquid to cross through the mucosa to the blood and
then they it is passed to other parts of the body where they are stored or
change further.

The cardiovascular system’s job is to
transport the simple materials to the person’s liver and cells through their
bloodstream, the heart is involved as it pumps the blood around the body. The
nutrients from the simple materials is within the blood and then the body’s
cells are able to produce energy.

Cellular Respiration- “The term cellular
respiration refers to the biochemical pathway by which cells release energy
from the chemical bonds of food molecules and provide that energy for the
essential processes of life. All living cells must carry out cellular

cardiovascular system work together work together to make energy production in
the body function, the digestive system organs need to be attuned to the heart
and other cardiovascular organs to make sure that energy metabolism happenes
how it should be in the body. Both of these system are linked very closely, the
heart pumps the blood into the vessels 
which is like the fuel for the body to function and then during
digestion the body produces the enzymes that break the food down into the
smaller pieces. The nutrients from the food that is digested is absorbed into
the bloodstream, then the blood flows throughout the body allowing the
nutrients to get around the body. During energy metabolism the digestive system
needs a lot of blood to do its job so therefore the blood vessels of the
digestive system  expand to help the
digestive system- the digestive system organs then stimulate the heart through
nerve impulses, these impulses then trigger signals for the increased amount of
